PEP for HIV

  • PEP for HIV is Post Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV.
    PEP is to give anti-infective medicine pills after there is a risk of infection.
    The medicine is uaually given within 72 hours after the event but if that happened more than 72 hours , you still need to consult with the doctor to find the solutions and prevent the infection.
    Who need to get PEP?
    Anyone at risk of coming into contact with blood and fluids from strangers such as
  • Broken condom or having sex without wearing a condom
  • Men love men and have unprotected anal sex
    -Those who frequently change sexual partners or are unsure whether their partner is at risk.
    -People who know that their partner has HIV
    -Those who have been sexually abused
